Dear Parents,
On Wednesday, May 8th, the grade 6 classes will be taking a field trip to the Shaw Ocean Discovery Center in Sidney. This trip is part of the grade 6 biology unit. Students will use microscopes to study invertebrates. We will leave in the morning and be back after lunch, so will need to bring their pack lunch with them. Students will also need to bring a pencil and be ready to learn.
Parent chaperones are appreciated. The trip will run from 9:00 – 1:30.
Accidents can be the result of the nature of the activity and can occur with or without any fault on either the part of the student or the School Board or its employees or agents, or the facility where the activity is taking place. By allowing your son/daughter to participate in this activity, you are accepting the risk of an accident occurring, and agree that this activity, as described above, is suitable for your child.
